We are now seeking a driven and dedicated Data Center Technician to join our team in Sweden.

About the Role

As a Data Center Technician at CBRE, you will perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center environment. This role is part of our Critical and Technical Services function, where you will be responsible for technical maintenance services in critical customer environments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily site inspections of all mechanical and technical systems and equipment, including service and maintenance.
  • Ensure that the site's environmental conditions provide a safe working environment.
  • Respond to alarms from the building management system (BMS) and perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Work with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with company processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Alert management if the subcontractor's performance does not meet all requirements under the Master Service Agreement.
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Check BMS for operational and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related customer issues.
  • Conduct rounds, take measurements from UPS, PDUs, and the electrical grid.
  • Address facility faults and defects.
  • Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures.
  • Follow all safety processes and requirements, ensuring that all statutory requirements and quality standards are met.
  • Perform routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance documentation.
  • Complete all necessary training to ensure successful execution of all job-related responsibilities.
  • Use existing procedures to solve simple problems, with limited discretion to exercise.
  • Contribute through clearly defined tasks and methods described in detail.
  • Deliver your work by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Technical education, apprenticeship, or equivalent with 1-2 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to work shifts, which may include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
  • Ability to effectively present information to internal departments, clients, management, and/or colleagues.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards when performing work.
  • Communication skills to exchange direct information.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with a curious mind.
  • Basic math skills, such as the ability to calculate simple figures like percentages, discounts, and markups.
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
